Sustainability
At Barkies New Zealand we are committed to sustainability. As part of our brand offering we use eco-friendly tissue paper, tape, stickers and thank you cards from no issue, that are made from recycled, FSC-certified paper and printed using soy based inks.
Our packaging is 100% compostable and certified to compost in both commercial (90 days to compost) and home (180 days to compost) composting facilities. Even the ink in our Barkies stamps are made from soy ink that wont leave behind petroleum when decomposing. Because of our alliance with no issue we are now part of the "Eco Packaging Alliance" and the "No issue One Tree Planted Program" which means that everytime we order packaging from this supplier, they plant a new tree for us in a region of the world that needs it the most.
Barkies is proud to be able to use these alliance stickers on our website. We are continually looking for ways to improve our sustainability and we pride ourselves in helping New Zealand reduce the amount of plastic waste that is currently being produced.
